Vasile and Ileana started this business in their garage back in 1994. Thirty years on, they are still the ones answering emails, checking drawings, and taking responsibility for the work that leaves the factory. There is no hierarchy to navigate. Just two people who put their names on every contract.
Why This Matters to You
In 1994, Vasile and Ileana set up a workshop in the garage behind their house. They had tools, know-how from two previous generations, and not much else. What they built has grown into a 7,000 m² operation with 100+ employees—and the same two people are still in charge.
This changes how we work together. When you contact us, you do not get routed through departments. You reach Vasile or Ileana, or someone they trained personally. When something goes wrong, the person who can authorise the solution is on site. When we promise a delivery date, the individual making that promise has the power to ensure it happens.
This work runs in the family. In the 1930s, Vasile’s grandfather left Carei for Bucharest to join Malaxa — the most important locomotive factory in Europe at that time. He came back in 1940 and spent years showing others how to build boilers. His son George later oversaw 450 employees at FIUT, making boilers and mining equipment for export. Vasile grew up around all this, started at FIUT aged 15, and eventually left with Ileana to build something themselves.
This is not a heritage story. It is practical. The person quoting your project comes from three generations of people who built things that move. And when that person wants to change a quote, there is no chain of command—there is just the decision.

We do not do committees. The person you are speaking to can say yes on the spot. If your project changes, they change it—no waiting for quarterly planning. That is how we have worked for thirty years.
We make decisions with the next generation in mind, not the next quarterly report. Our EU-funded expansions (SMIS 117036 and SMIS 307995) added capacity we will still be using in twenty years. When we bring young employees through Romania’s Dual Vocational Training System, we are training the workforce of 2040, not filling temporary vacancies.

We are in Carei, north-western Romania, because this is where Vasile and Ileana live. The jobs stay here. It is not a CSR programme. It is just home.
