The Founders Still in Charge

Vasile and Ileana Steiger founded this company in 1994 and continue to lead it today. They are present in the facility and directly involved in day-to-day operations.

Steiger operates without a complex management structure. The owners are directly accessible and involved in project delivery.

Certified and Documented

Our welding operations run under certified supervision. Ten welders hold TÜV Rheinland certification to ISO 9606-1. Two International/European Welding Engineers and two International Welding Practitioners oversee procedure development and quality assurance. We maintain twenty-plus Welding Procedure Qualification Records — each one tested, documented, and ready for audit.

The engineering team handles design-for-manufacturing reviews, feasibility analysis, and project planning. On the shop floor, CNC operators run 5-axis gantries and horizontal mills with 12,000 mm travel. Bridge crane operators move components up to 25 tonnes. Quality technicians verify flatness and straightness to 0.05 mm over 10 metres using a Leica Absolute Tracker AT403 and HEXAGON portable arms.

Every employee works under our integrated management system, certified to ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001:2023.

Training Tomorrow’s Workforce

We train apprentices through Romania’s Dual Vocational Training System, with our own personnel teaching on site. The young people learning here today work with our experienced team tomorrow.
